Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan (born 1949) is an Indian politician.[1] Now he is the Revenue Minister in Kerala Assembly. He will be holding the Vigilance Portfolio, handed over from the current Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Radhakrishnan was born to K. P. Parameswaran Pillai and M. G. Gourikutty on 27 December 1949 at Thiruvanchoor, Kottayam, Travancore Cochin, India. He entered politics as a student activist and served as the Chairman of Kerala University Union in 1973 and State President of KSU in 1974. He also served as State General Secretary and President of Youth Congress before becoming the General Secretary of Kerala PCC in 1984. He served as a member of AICC and was associated with several trade unions.
He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006 and represents Adoor Constituency. He was the Water Resources, Forest, Health and Parliamentary affairs minister in the Ommen Chandy government. He also served as the Secretary of the Congress (I). He is married to Lalithambika Radhakrishnan and has two sons - Anupam and Arjun - and a daughter, Athira.
